The Career Development and Advising Center (CDAC) works collaboratively with the campus community to develop relationships with students, faculty, employers and external constituencies while providing services that contribute to the career preparation, recognition, achievement and holistic development of students. Services include identification of educational and career objectives commensurate with students' interests and abilities, exploration of academic and other requirements for students' chosen careers, and exploration of post-graduate educational or employment opportunities. The CDAC is host to a multitude of resources including career exploration, career test interpretation, internships and cooperative education opportunities.
The CDAC is committed to empowering students through all phases of career development to become exceptional contributors to society and supports relevant institutional outcomes assessment and research endeavors. The CDAC staff provides high-quality services, which enhance the development of self-knowledge, encourage the identification of transferable skills and promote leadership development related to professional employment or post-graduate study. By employing the Gold Standard, a comprehensive student career development program, CDAC facilitates the development of positive relationships with employers, external constituencies, students and alumni while maintaining a collaborative relationship with academic faculty and administration.
