Mrs. Angi Lively is excited to be part of the culture of student learning that is prevalent at GGC. She is of the mentality that all students are capable of success, if they dedicate themselves to the task and are willing to work to gain knowledge. She seeks to facilitate that learning in a multi-modal classroom and finds satisfaction in the “light bulb” moments that often occur there.
Lively was involved in the inaugural year of Mathematics in Action (MIA) Scholars Program at GGC in the summer of 2013 and continues to be involved with the program as it grows and evolves. This summer camp targets gifted middle school students, emphasizing applications of mathematics in the world around them.
Interested in staying current in the topics of teaching and learning, especially as it relates to mathematics, Lively is currently pursuing a terminal degree in math education at the University of Georgia.
Prior to teaching at Georgia Gwinnett College, Lively taught in local public schools for several years.
