Dr. Marinan believes that all students can learn and need support and guidance to achieve their learning and life goals. His primary interests involve rhetorical theory, disability studies and writing centers. He is working on a book dealing with the subject of the history of autism, and has published numerous articles in journals such as Enculturation, The Writing Center Journal and the Journal of Interdisciplinary Literary Studies. He is a former school administrator and high school teacher, having worked for many years in a number of states. He is a strong believer in interdisciplinary work and is maintaining numerous projects dealing with neuroscience researchers across the country.
