Biography

Dr. Justin Jernigan has served as Dean of the School of Transitional Studies at GGC since April 2015. He holds a B.A. in Russian and M.A. in linguistics from the University of Florida. He also received his Certificate in Teaching English as a Second Language from the University of Florida, Program in Linguistics in 1996. He earned his Ph.D. in multilingual-multicultural education from Florida State University in 2007. Jernigan has taught English as a second language (ESL) since 1996. He teaches in the EAP (English for Academic Purposes) program at GGC, where he has been since July 2007, and served as associate dean of the School of Transitional Studies at GGC from 2013-2014.
