Biography

Dr. Lawson taught ITEC courses at GGC from August 2008–May 2016. He completed his doctorate in computer science at the University of Georgia where he spent the past year as a graduate student and lecturer. Prior to teaching, he had 22 years experience in ITEC as a programmer, analyst, systems administrator, technical director and business owner. He has implemented IT systems for Fortune 100 and Fortune 500 companies. His education includes a bachelor of science in computer science, a master of science in management of technology, a master of internet technology and a Ph.D. in computer science. His Ph.D. research is in the field of distributed systems architecture for remote sensor networks.
