Ways to Give

Ways to Give

Your generosity helps GGC to achieve levels of excellence not possible with state funding alone. There are many ways to support GGC. You can express your generosity by making gifts to the Georgia Gwinnett College Fund, capital gifts, endowed gifts and planned gifts. GGC can tailor a gift plan to meet your individual situation.

How to Give

Naming Opportunities
Remember or honor a family member with a gift that will identify a prominent campus building. Learn more about the current naming opportunites.

Business Partners
If students are the heart of GGC, then our community partners, who allow us to provide and sustain vital programs, are its backbone. Business partners enable GGC to support margin of excellence needs and continue to expand and enrich the educational experience for current and future students.

A recent economic impact study for the state of Georgia found that on average, for every dollar of initial spending in a community by a University System institution, an additional 52 cents was generated for the local economy hosting a college or university. Further, for each job created on campus, there are 1.7 off-campus jobs that exist due to spending related to the institution. Our business partners, perhaps better than any other group, understand the tremendous financial and social impact the growth and success of GGC will have on all that live and work here.

Senior Class
As graduates of the first four-year public college created in Georgia in the last century, GGC seniors are making history. The first seniors at GGC certainly realized the importance of their legacy when in May 2008, January 2009 and again in May 2009, every graduating senior participated in the Senior Gift campaign. Large and small, these gifts help GGC provide financial aid, fund new technology and expansions, recruit top faculty and much more.

When seniors give to GGC, they join a dedicated group of fellow students, alumni, employees and community members who choose to make gifts that support their personal values and interests, as well as the College’s future. Besides creating new opportunities for future students, giving a senior gift is an investment in the GGC degree. The percentage of seniors and alumni who give back to the College is an important factor when GGC is ranked in national surveys.

Faculty and Staff
Besides dedicating their time and talents to GGC, many faculty and staff also participate in the Faculty/Staff Campaign each year. During the 2007-’08 campaign, 67% of the GGC employees demonstrated their devotion to the College by donating money to GGC. The 2008-09 campaign showed strength in numbers by an increase in participation to 82%. Not only do these gifts display pride in the College and in one's career, but they are direct investments in the future of GGC. Each donation goes directly to increasing scholarship dollars, improving the work environment for faculty and staff, providing funding for professional growth activities, improving the technology on campus and much more. Download and print the Faculty/Staff Campaign 2010 pledge form.
