GGC hires first VP of Enrollment Management Services

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) has named Michael Poll its vice president of Enrollment Management Services. Through this new position, Poll will lead the enrollment and retention efforts of the college and spearhead an innovative strategy to recruit, retain and cultivate the leaders of tomorrow.

GGC graduates largest class to date

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) awarded more than 530 bachelor’s degrees today to its largest graduating class to date. Several thousand people attended the college’s spring commencement ceremony, which was held at the Infinite Energy Center Arena in Duluth.

Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) information technology (IT) majors won three national championships at the U.S. Information Technology Collegiate Conference (USITCC) held recently in San Antonio, Texas.

GGC to host event on impact of air quality on personal health

Georgia Gwinnett College’s Office of Environmental Health and Safety has invited Nyasha Dunkley, deputy state climatologist for the State of Georgia, to campus on Tuesday, April 17 for a presentation on the science used to determine air quality forecasts in Georgia. The discussion, held in Building C, Cisco Auditorium from 11 a.m. to noon, will focus on how it impacts personal health and what individuals can do to improve the air quality in their community.  

GGC hosted eighth annual Button Gwinnett Day during county’s bicentennial year

Georgia Gwinnett College hosted its signature event, Button Gwinnett Day, on Wednesday, April 11. For eight consecutive years, the college has hosted the annual event in recognition of a Georgia signer of the Declaration of Independence.
