GGC's chapter of the Georgia Association of Nursing Students (GANS) recently received both the East District Chapter of the Year Award and the statewide Chapter of the Year Award at GANS' annual state convention.

Kaufman Library & Learning Center, has served on the Organizing Committee of the international Access Services Conference since its inaugural event in 2009. Downey and her co-organizers, Karen Glover and Stella Richardson of Georgia Tech and Denita Hampton of Georgia State, presented "The Business of Starting and Sustaining an Academic Conference" at entrelib: The Conference for Entrepreneurial Librarians, a national event held recently at the University of North Carolina - Greensboro.

Dr. Darin S. Wilson

Patti Lee, associate professor and head of Research Services – Daniel J. Kaufman Library & Learning Center, completed the 2016 Harvard Leadership Institute for Academic Librarians, offered through the Harvard Graduate School of Education in Cambridge, Mass. She was one of 70 librarians from colleges and universities worldwide participating in the institute, which focused on planning, organizational strategy and change, and transformational learning.
Dr. Brett Young
Dr. Brett Young, assistant professor of Management Information Systems, published a paper with Drs. Lars Mathiassen of Georgia State University and Elizabeth Davidson of the University of Hawaii - Manoa entitled, "Inconsistent and Incongruent Frames during IT-enabled Change: An Action Research into Sales Process Innovation," in the July 2016 issue of the Journal of the Association for Information Systems.
