Dear GGC Community,

As the search for Georgia Gwinnett College’s third President takes shape, we wish to extend an invitation to all members of our community to share your thoughts with us.

Please take a moment to fill out this survey from the GGC Presidential Screening and Search Committee. The survey asks about presidential skills and personal qualities that are important to you and about what you see as challenges and opportunities for GGC’s next president. All survey responses are completely anonymous. This information will help inform the search committee and develop the position description. Due to our short timeline, this survey will close on Nov. 30.

In addition to the survey, we invite you to attend listening sessions where you can share your thoughts and ideas with the search committee. Based on the feedback from the listening sessions and the survey, we will develop a position description, which will be posted in national advertising venues by Dec. 10. Listening sessions will be facilitated by Parker Executive Search and are scheduled for the following dates and times.

  • Tuesday, Nov. 27 – Kaufman Library, Heritage Room
    • 12:30-1:30 p.m. – Staff
    • 3:45-4:45 p.m. – Faculty
    • 6-7 p.m. – Alumni/Community
  • Wednesday, Nov. 28 – Kaufman Library, Heritage Room
    • 12-1 p.m. – Students
    • 1:30-2:30 p.m. – Open Session (for anyone who could not attend the others)

Find information about campus parking and directions.

A website – www.ggc.edu/PresidentialSearch – has been developed and includes current information, updates, and timelines about the search process. Once the job description is posted, we encourage you to share this information and nominate candidates for the position via a link on the website.

If you have questions, please reach out to any member of the Presidential Search and Screen Committee.

Thanks,
Judy Awong-Taylor, Chair, Presidential Search and Screen Committee
