The School of Liberal Arts offers five majors with several concentrations within each major. In addition, liberal studies courses in art, music, Spanish, French, geography, anthropology, sociology and religion are also offered.

The B.S. degree in Criminal Justice/Criminology is an intensive overview of each of the components of the criminal justice system as well as an analysis of the societal and behavioral influences of deviant behavior. The criminal justice/criminology program emphasizes a "theory-into practice" approach. Students will complete a six course common core curriculum and then elect a criminal justice, criminology, or liberal arts area of concentration.

The B.A. degree in English provides students interested in examining literature and culture with a course of study and degree that equip them for a variety of careers and vocations, including education, marketing and sales, communications, public relations, journalism, publishing, law, business administration and more. Students in the English program are exposed to a set of learning experiences in which increasing levels of complexity are built upon foundational learning experiences. The program grants students multi-disciplinary flexibility in pursuing study in one of four concentrations: writing and rhetoric, language and literature, interdisciplinary studies, and teacher certification.

The B.A. degree in History is for students interested in a wide range of career choices ranging from education to law to the business world. The history major consists of two tracks: history and history with teacher certification. Students pursuing the history track will take upper-level courses that provide a broad foundation for the study of history, including advanced study in one of four concentrations: U.S. history, western civilization, world history and interdisciplinary/thematic history
B.A. in Political Science
The B.A. degree in Political Science is for students interested in a wide range of career choices, including government service, advocacy, legislative assistance, international non-government organizations, non-profit management, education, law school, and graduate school. The political science major consists of two concentrations: general political science and teacher certification.
B.S. in Psychology
The B.S. degree in Psychology is a program for students interested in a wide range of psychology professions. For those students interested in pursuing a career immediately after graduation, they will gain a wealth of experiences in the applied aspects of psychology that will easily transfer to various professions. Also, those interested in obtaining advanced degrees will have a strong theoretical foundation for the fields of psychology, law, business, medicine and a wide range of other graduate degrees.
