The Academic Enhancement Center (AEC) is a support facility for the classroom and GGC learning programs. Specifically, it is an area where tutoring and study skills assistance are provided to any student experiencing academic difficulties. It is also a place where students can be taught to become more confident, efficient and effective learners in order to successfully meet academic standards and improve student learning strategies. Center services may include individual and group tutoring in most disciplines offered by GGC, academic and skill building workshops, success seminars and supplemental instruction.
The AEC is equipped with computers making a range of resources available for students:
- assessment tools
- handouts
- handbooks and resources
- Compass and Regents’ practice tests
- citation manuals to help students document their research using APA (American Psychological Association) or MLA (Modern Language Association) styles
Location

Friday: 9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Sunday: 1:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
