Welcome
Dear Students,
As we welcome you into the GGC community, keep in mind that success should be your motto. Every morning you should start the day with success at GGC as your motivation. You were admitted to the College because we have faith in your ability to succeed. The Student Success Program (SSP) is our effort to ensure that if you do your part as a student and believe in yourself, we can assist you to get over and around the bumps in the road to success at GGC.
The SSP has three main components:
- Courses in reading, writing and mathematics, targeted at developing or strengthening college- level skills in these subjects
- Advising/counseling for students enrolled in the SSP courses
- Free drop-in tutoring for all GGC students, in most subjects and at all skill levels, conducted by faculty, professional and peer tutors
We welcome you through the front door of the College and we do not want you leave us through the back door without reaching your goals. The College is here for you; it is your success that matters most to everyone here. We have succeeded at GGC only if you leave us by walking proudly out the front door with your degree in hand or with your goals achieved.
