Paula Merida

Ms. Paula Merida

Ms. Paula Merida graduated with her bachelor’s from the University of Georgia in 2012. Her passion for helping students was sparked during her time in college where she held various leadership roles in student organizations dedicated to student involvement and academic success.

Merida joined the admissions team at Georgia Gwinnett College in December of 2013. Although she primarily assists students and families of Latino/Hispanic heritage, she is more than happy to see any student seeking help with all aspects of the admissions process. She also serves as a GGC representative at high school and business college recruitment activities. She enjoys encouraging students to pursue an education and to never give up on their dreams.

Merida is also very involved in her community, leading a Latino youth group at her local church and volunteering as a facilitator with Hispanic Organization Promoting Education (H.O.P.E.). In her free time, she loves running, blogging, shopping, traveling, spending time with family and friends and rooting for her DAWGS.
