Can you send me an admission application packet? All admissions information, including the online application, can be found at www.ggc.edu. For more information, or to be placed on our mailing list, fill out the form on the Contact Us page.

Can I visit the campus and complete an application for admissions? Campus tours are scheduled Monday through Friday at 10 a.m. or 4 p.m., by appointment. To schedule your visit to GGC, fill out the Visit form. The application for admission is online only, but it can be submitted using a computer at the Information Center, located in Building D.
The application fee is $20.
How can I pay my application fee if I don't have a MasterCard or Visa? The online application also accepts electronic check processing using a bank account number and routing number from a standard personal check.
I do not have access to a computer, how do I apply? Students can use public computers found at the Information Center located in Building D or the GGC Library on campus.
How do I apply for financial aid? Information about applying for financial aid is available at the Office of Financial Aid website.
I would like to meet with an Admissions Counselor. How can I make an appointment? Admissions Counselors are available to meet with prospective students Monday through Friday from 8 p.m. to 5 p.m., no appointment necessary. Simply come into the Office of Admissions, check in at the Information Desk, and an Admissions Counselor will be called to assist you.
Do I need to have my high school transcript(s) sent to GGC? Students seeking admission as freshman (those coming straight from high school, and those who are transferring less than 30 credit hours) must have official high school transcripts sent to GGC.
Do I need to have my college transcript(s) sent to GGC? GGC requires that students submit an official transcript from each college previously attended. Official transcripts are required whether or not the applicant receives transfer credit.
Can someone evaluate my transcript to determine what transfer credit will be awarded before I apply? Transcript evaluation is done by the Registrar's office after the application and official transcript are submitted.
I have a transcript that shows all of my credits I received from previous colleges. Is that sufficient or do you need transcripts from all of my previous colleges? Transfer students must provide official transcripts from all colleges previously attended.
I am unable to get a transcript from my school because I owe them money. Will you accept my copy of that transcript? No.
What are the tuition/fees for a full-time student? Current tuition and fees can be found on the Tuition & Fees page.
When will tuition/fees be due? Tuition and fees are due when you first register for courses.
English is not my first language or home language. Can I apply to GGC? Is there a program to support me? Yes. GGC welcomes English as a second language (ESL) students. You may be eligible for the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) program.
I am an international student on a student visa. Can I apply to GGC? GGC cannot enroll international students on a student visa status at this time. Students who have a Permanent Resident status may enroll at GGC.
I graduated from a high school outside of the United States and/or attended a college or university outside of the United States. What documents do I need to submit? Students who graduated from a high school outside of the United States and/or attended a college or university outside of the United States, must submit an official translation/evaluation of the transcript/s. Accepted evaluation services can be found at www.naces.org.
If I was admitted for a term that has already passed, what document(s) do I complete to update my application for a future term? Students who applied for a previous term and would like to update for a future term should complete a semester update form. The semester update form must be submitted by the application deadline of the term you are interested in attending.

I am attempting to complete the online application, and it asks for my SAT/ACT scores. I took those tests years ago. Can I still submit the application without the test scores? As a transfer student, yes, you may complete the GGC online application without your test scores. You must still give an estimated date that you took the appropriate test, but the scores are not necessary to submit the application.

I have not taken the SAT or ACT. What test can I take for course placement, and how do I schedule this test? The COMPASS test will be used for course placement for students who have not taken the SAT or ACT, or for those who do not meet the SAT/ACT minimum requirements for placement. It is offered Monday through Friday, and the second Saturday of each month. Appointments can be scheduled by calling the Testing Center at 678.407.5322.

Students who must apply for readmission include transients and students who have not been enrolled for 12 consecutive months (three terms) as well as students changing classification. If the student does not enroll, the process must be repeated. The application for readmission is online at www.gacollege411.org. The readmission application must be submitted along with the non-refundable processing fee and any required supporting credentials fees by the deadline for the term of the desired re-enrollment.

What immunization records do I need to submit, and how do I submit these records? The immunization form can be found here. All immunization records can be mailed, faxed (678.407.5747), or hand-delivered to the Office of Admissions.
