Congratulations! The students, faculty and staff of GGC welcome you to the Grizzly Campus and congratulate you on your acceptance into Georgia Gwinnett College.
We've gathered information for you in this section to help guide you from your first day through your first year.
We want to make your transition into college life a positive and meaningful experience.
Submit the rest of your paperwork and apply for financial aid as soon as you are admitted.
Follow this easy checklist to make sure you have everything in place to begin your first semester at GGC.
Step 1 - Submit Advanced Placement and CLEP Test Scores. If you have taken Advanced Placement or have completed the CLEP test and wish to receive college credit, official test scores must be sent to GGC for that credit to be awarded. Request official reports at www.collegeboard.com. Questions about credit for AP and CLEP should be emailed to ggcregistrar@ggc.edu. If you are interested in taking the CLEP test at GGC, please visit testing services.
Step 2 - Submit your final transcripts for your last term of enrollment. For freshmen students, have official high school transcripts submitted; transfer students should submit official final college transcripts with no "in progress" courses posted.
Step 3 - Submit immunization forms and other supporting documents.
Step 4 - For financial aid, file for FAFSA and complete your application at www.fafsa.ed.gov, using school code: 041429. Our easy to follow checklist will give you more details.
Step 5 - Confirm your residency status. The form can be downloaded at: http://www.ggc.edu/admissions/docs/tuition_petition2012ver2.pdf. Questions should be emailed to adavis24@ggc.edu.
Step 6 - You will receive an invitation to Bear Essentials, the college's orientation program, in your email about two months before new student registration begins. Once you receive the invitation, register as soon as possible. All in-coming students are required to attend a Bear Essentials/Orientation session. The Office of New Student Connections is designed to help all students with the orientation process so that you will have a successful first year, no matter if you are an in-coming freshmen, transfer, nontraditional student or otherwise.
Step 7 - Pay your tuition in full by the stated tuition deadline date.
