Welcome to the Office of Financial Aid.  Our goal is to help you further your education regardless of your economic circumstances.

We are here to provide you and your family with information that will help you find funding for your education at GGC, whether through scholarships, grants, loans or a combination of resources.

We want you to succeed and are happy to assist you with applying for funding, counseling and maintaining eligibility for various types of aid. You will find many of our forms and resources online. Don't see what you need? Give us a call at 678.407.5701.

Applying for Aid

• Complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). The FAFSA serves as the initial application for all Federal Grants and Loans in addition to being one of the ways you can apply for HOPE Scholarship.  The FAFSA becomes available each year on January 1 and must be renewed each year.
• Take note of the deadlines to apply.

Tips for Completing the FAFSA

• You must have your previous year’s tax returns accessible and your parent’s previous year’s tax returns if you are a dependent student.
• The FAFSA must be signed by you and your parents (if you are a dependent student).  The application process is faster if you use the electronic Personal Identification Number (PIN) to sign the FAFSA.  You can apply for the PIN at www.pin.ed.gov ahead of time or wait and apply while filling out the FAFSA.
• When completing the FAFSA, use GGC’s Federal School Code: 041429.

It's helpful to be sure to print and complete a FAFSA on the Web worksheet to help you complete the FAFSA online. Also, if you're only interested in receiving the HOPE Scholarship, you can fill out a HOPE Scholarship application through the Georgia Student Finance Application (GSFAPP). The GSFAPPs is a one time only application that does not have to be renewed each year.
