A SPECIAL WELCOME EVENT FOR ALL NEW STUDENTS
During this traditional event, all new first-year and transfer students will walk through the Arch of Knowledge, symbolizing their entrance into the community of learners at Georgia Gwinnett College.
As new students pass through the Arch of Knowledge, they will pass between two lines of GGCs faculty, who will welcome them to the college. These "faculty lines" represent the close bonds that are formed between Georgia Gwinnett's students and faculty.
Also, at the 6th annual, "March through the Arch," GGC's entering class of 2016:
Parents and guests also are welcome to attend "March through the Arch.'
NOTE: The first 300 students who arrive and have their ID cards swiped will be allowed to register
FIRST for their spring 2017 classes — before upper-class students!!!
Convocation at GGC is a celebration of the Vision and Mission of the institution itself — and of all of the students, faculty, and staff who embody and fulfill the values of Georgia Gwinnett College. The ceremony, the pre-events, and the Creativity Showcase all reflect the identity of GGC.

Those honor students who were on the President's List have been sent special invitations, along with GGC Honors Programs Students and the officers and members of the academic honor societies. These groups of students will be recognized at this year's Convocation. All other students at Georgia Gwinnett are invited also. At this time, all new faculty will be recognized; and all faculty members are expected to attend and wear full regalia.
