Office of Research and Sponsored Programs Announces New Funding Database Resource

January 1, 2017

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs (ORSP) is excited to share a new resource available to full-time faculty and staff interested in seeking funding for research. Through PIVOT you now have access to a comprehensive database of both public and private funding opportunities worth an estimated $33 billion. The database not only contains funding opportunities but also provides over 3 million scholar profiles that can be searched for potential collaborative research projects. Once you have established a log-in and created or updated your user profile, you can search the funding opportunities instantly and can save your searches and request weekly notifications of funding matching your research interests.

To set up your own PIVOT profile, view the tutorial here. You will find detailed instructions for creating a login and accessing your profile.  There are also numerous help features and tutorials provided. Each screen has a red HELP link at the top right. You may be surprised to learn that you already have one as PIVOT harvests data from on-line resources such as our web site to pre-populate the profiles. Be sure to update your profile if you discover one already exists.  You may upload your photo, CV or other data you wish to include along with key words related to your research interests. These key words along with area of interest enable PIVOT to customize their searches for you.

Please contact ORSP if you need any assistance.
