Admissions/Academics
College Prep Diploma/2.0 GPA
Tech Prep Diploma/2.2 GPA
Freshmen and applicants with fewer than 30 transfer hours must request that their most recently-attended high school submit an official high school transcript to Georgia Gwinnett College.
Applicants who have attended any college (as a transfer student or as a HOPE-ACCEL student) must request official college transcripts from all colleges previously attended (official transcripts must be sent directly to Georgia Gwinnett College).
As a member of the University System of Georgia, courses taken at GGC are easily transferrable to and from institutions within the state university system as well as most other higher education institutions.
More than 40 concentrations in 12 majors, teacher education tracks and pre-health courses.
Nearly all of the College’s full-time faculty hold a Ph.D., Ed.D., or other professional terminal degree.
The faculty’s primary roles are teaching and student engagement, not research.
Blackboard and other online tools give students access to class information, providing the flexibility to at home, in the classroom or in the office.

Tuition/Financial Aid

Tuition at GGC is $109.87 per credit hour up to $1,648 per semester - view full tuition and fees.
Financial Aid is available: HOPE Scholarship, federal grants and loans (tuition, fees, books and living expenses).
Students may complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov [GGC’s FAFSA Code is 041429].
In and Around the Classroom
GGC ranks among top 10 percent in the nation for active and collaborative learning (2010 NSSE study).
Student Success Programs ensure that all GGC students, regardless of their academic preparation, have a comprehensive student support program to develop skills needed to succeed.
All classrooms feature "smart" technology. Teachers control many different tools while lecturing -- the Internet, media players and overhead digital projectors. A built-in recorder can capture the lecture and save it to a Web site or e-mail.
Small classes; evening and weekend classes are also available.
Faculty mentors work closely with their students throughout their years at Georgia Gwinnett College.
Faculty are available to students via cell phone for questions and academic assistance outside the office.
The First Year Matters program supports students and helps them to develop skills and attitudes necessary for college and life success.
Career and Advisement Services are available to assist students with pursuing their academic and professional goals beyond graduation.

Housing
The first phase of residence halls opened in August 2010 and accommodates 1,029 students.
Suite-style living areas house two, three, four, six, eight or 12 students.
Each suite includes a well-equipped kitchenette and a common living area for all of the residents of the suite.
Conveniently, there is one bathroom for every two students in the suite.
Each resident has his or her own private bedroom.
