Misty Berry, Business Major
"I'm very fortunate to have an employer who is flexible and is very encouraging. I take classes in the evenings after work, and I have a class during lunch breaks on Fridays."

Georgia Gwinnett College offers flexible classes that suit the working adult, which is why Misty Berry chose to complete her degree here. Misty works full time in HR and operations and she takes classes in the evenings at GGC. She made her way to GGC after completing her associate degree.
On Choosing GGC
"The recent SACS accreditation was a huge factor in helping me make my decision, and the flexible class schedules also appealed to me. The location is great; it's close to work. I can’t imagine driving downtown after work."
Personal Connections
"GGC doesn’t treat its students like a number. The admissions office would call and follow up with me and make sure I had the correct forms to complete the application process."
Encouragement from Faculty
"My biology professor has been great. The class has been one of my biggest challenges, but my professor has helped me get through it and won’t let me drop the class."
Family Support
"My fiancé is supportive and understanding. He understands my stress level and knows that I need quiet time to study. Without a strong base at home, I wouldn’t be able to handle everything."
Her Advice
"Something that has worked well is setting a schedule. I wake up at 5:30 every day. A set schedule helps, as well as organization. A little determination and elbow grease goes a long way. Look at the big picture. Make school a priority; it’ll all work out in the end."
