Drs. Camelia Elias (Roskilde University) and Bent Soerensen (Aalborg University) discuss their recent works.
Dr. Camelia Elias is an associate professor of American studies at Roskilde University, Denmark and has a Ph.D. in English and comparative literature from University of Southern Denmark. She has edited several books including Cultural Text Studies: Introduction No. 1 with Dr. Bent Sørensen; Cultural Text Studies: Transatlantic No. 2 with Andrea Birch; Federman Frenzy: the 'cult' in Culture, the 'me' in Memory, the 'he' in History - Encounters with Raymond Federman; and more recently, a monography on the poet Lynn Emanuel, Pulverizing Portraits: Lynn Emanuel's Poetry of Becoming.
Dr. Bent Sørensen has a Ph.D. in American literature and culture from Aalborg University, where he is associate professor of English and director of studies. He teaches 20th and 21st century American literature and cultural studies in the interdisciplinary department of languages and intercultural studies. He has published on one book on Edgar Allen Poe, entitled Love, Identity and Reason in the Tales of Edgar Allan Poe, and another on American literary generations. He has edited volumes on Jacques Derrida and 9/11, on interarts aesthetics, and on cultural text studies. He has translated the poetry of Robert Gibbons and the aphorisms of Valeriu Butulescu.
