What is the difference between a Meals per Week and the Block Plan?

Meals per Week is a plan designed for resident students who will rely on the dining center for most of their meals. They are structured with a specific meal count per week. The Block Plans are set up with a total number of meals that do not renew each week, but instead are a block of meals for the duration of the semester. Both meal plan types come with a Munch Money balance, so students can enjoy all the dining facilities on campus. Get more information.

I want to change my meal plan. What do I do?

Students may only request a change in their meal plan selection within the first two days of the new semester. However, you may add additional funds to your Munch Money or Cave Cash at any time. Go to Student Accounts in Building D to make these changes.

Where can I use my Munch Money?

Munch Money, Cave Cash, credit cards and cash can be used at any GGC dining facility.

May I use my meal plan at the Food Court?

Meals can only be used at the Student Center dining hall. However, Munch Money can be used at any dining facility on campus: dining hall, food court, GGCity Cafe and Jazzman's.

May I give part of my Munch Money balance to a friend?

No. Meal Plans and Claw Card balances are non-transferable.

May I borrow my friend's Claw Card for lunch?

Claw Cards cannot be used by anyone but the card owner.

Will my Munch Money balance carry over from semester to semester?

All meal plans are per semester; however the remainder of your Munch Money will roll forward from fall to spring semester and up to $100 of Munch Money will roll over from spring to the summer semesters. During the summer, your meal plan will expire after final exams on the last day that residents students are allowed to remain in the residence halls. Meal plans do not transfer. If you would like to change your meal plan, you must do so within the first two days of the semester by visiting Student Accounts in the D Builing. If your Munch Money balance becomes low, you can reload your Claw Card at any time during the semester in any amount. Again, simply visit the Student Accounts Office located in Building D.

How can I check the balances on my Claw Card?

To see the funds you have on your Claw Card, please log on to my.ggc.edu and click on the "eCards" tab at the top of the screen.

Do I bus my own table or does the staff do this?

We do ask that you bus your serving dishes and utensils from your table when you have finished dining.

May I take my unfinished meal with me from the dining hall?

Since the Student Center Dining Hall is an all-you-can-eat venue, to-go containers are not allowed. Please refrain from taking food, dishes or utensils from the dining area.
