Residence Life

The first phase of Georgia Gwinnett College residence halls opened in August 2010. The suite-style living areas are just what students are looking for in 21st Century college living. Phase I housing has 1,029 beds, allowing many students to live within their learning community.

Construction continues on Phase II, which will add another 1,500 beds and a parking deck for the convenience of on-campus inhabitants.

Suite-Style Communities

Each residence hall suite will house either two, three, four, six, eight or 12 students. These suite-like living areas are not dorms, but instead modern living-learning spaces. Each suite will include a well-equipped kitchenette and a common living area for all of the residents of the suite. Conveniently, there will be one bathroom for every two students in the suite, as opposed to the communal bathrooms found in traditional dormitories. Each resident will have his or her own private bedroom. A dynamic flat-screen LCD HDTV is provided in every living room for educational and entertainment purposes.

Student housing at GGC costs less than you might think and is competitively priced in the Gwinnett housing market. Each bedroom is private, spacious and cool, with plenty of room for storage and clothes in the closet. Each bedroom is carpeted and furnished with a twin bed, night stand, dresser and desk. The windows in each bedroom will bring in plenty of natural light, while blinds will provide necessary privacy.

The living room in each suite offers plenty of comfortable seating where residents can gather to study together or watch a movie on the flat screen television. Tile flooring can be found in the kitchenette, living room and bathrooms.

Wireless Internet, electricity and water will be provided for the residents.
