Facilities and equipment:

Main Library

  • 10 study rooms.
  • 8 networked computers available for library research, each equipped with CD-R and headphones.
  • Library instruction room with 24 student computers, an instructor computer, projector and Smart Board.
  • Public photocopiers.
  • Video cassette players.
  • Microfilm/microfiche readers.
Note: Library facilities may not be rented.

 

The Den (A1450)

  • 22 networked iMacs
  • Instructor iMac
  • Projector, DocCam, CD/DVD player

Note: This room may be reserved by faculty.

 

The Den (A1510)

  • 30 networked PCs
  • Scanner
  • Study space
  • 2 reservable study rooms
  • Power outlets for laptops

Note: There is NO photocopier in the A Building Information Commons.

 

Mezzanine

  • 38 networked PCs
  • 13 networked iMacs
  • Scanner
  • 3 collaborative work spaces that can be reserved. Collaborative work spaces are all equipped with either a PC or an iMac, a projector, a video camera, a DVD-R, headphones and microphone.

Note: There are four additional computers available in the 2nd floor hallway, outside the Mezzanine.

 

Photocopies:

  • Photocopies cost $.10 per page.
  • Photocopiers do not accept cash, but operate on a swipe card system:
  • Making copies with Claw Cards: Cave Cash must be added to your Claw Card either at the kiosk located in the Building B Atrium or at Student Accounts in Building D.
  • Making copies without Claw Cards: Guest Cards may be purchased for $2 from the kiosk located in the Building B Atrium.  Additional funds must be added to the Guest Card at the kiosk in order to make copies.
  • The Library cannot make change. Change may be obtained in Student Accounts in Building D.

 

Printouts:

  • Print-outs from computers or microfilm readers cost $.15 per page.

 

The following are prohibited in Library Facilities:

  • Tobacco use, including chewing tobacco
  • Viewing of pornography or violent content on library computers
  • Any behavior that would disrupt others' ability to study

 

Please remember:

  • Priority of computer use is given to research-related activities.
  • Parents are responsible for the behavior of their children. Children under the age of 16, unaccompanied by an adult, are not allowed in the Library.
  • For your own safety and privacy, log off of computers after use.
