Institutional Effectiveness

ASSESSMENT

Georgia Gwinnett College has placed assessment of student learning at the center of all planning activities from the onset of each program of study and, in fact, at the center of planning for the overall educational experience of the student.  The Division of Academic and Student Affairs has based its planning on a set of student outcome goals that encompass the overall integrated educational experience (IEE) of the College. The IEE Student Learning Outcomes reflect the Strategic Priorities and Institutional Goals and are as follows:

Georgia Gwinnett College’s Integrated Educational Experience program will produce graduates who:

IEE1.   Clearly communicate ideas in written and oral form.

IEE2.   Demonstrate creativity and critical thinking in inter- and
multi-disciplinary contexts.

IEE3.   Demonstrate effective use of information technology.

IEE4.   Demonstrate an ability to collaborate in diverse and
global contexts.

IEE5.   Demonstrate an understanding of human and institutional
decision making from multiple perspectives.

IEE6.   Demonstrate an understanding of moral and ethical principles.

IEE7.   Demonstrate and apply leadership principles.

IEE8.   Demonstrate effective quantitative reasoning

These student learning outcomes provide the foundation for the Institutional Goals as shown in the table below:
