The GGC community is celebrating President Daniel J. Kaufman, who will soon leave for his new position as president of the Gwinnett Chamber of Commerce.

As Georgia Gwinnett’s charter president, Dr. Kaufman enthusiastically accepted what many believed to be a daunting challenge of building a new college from scratch – and not just any college, but one specially designed for student success, accessible to students of all levels of academic preparation, and a model for innovative approaches to higher education for the 21st Century. This Institution’s success is a testament to his ability to engage community partners, recruit and motivate accomplished faculty and staff and strategically implement a growth plan that quickly formed a solid foundation for the College’s continued development.  More importantly, GGC will make a difference in the lives of students for many decades to come.

Georgia Gwinnett will forever stand as a legacy to Dr. Kaufman’s inspiring leadership, incredible vision and heartfelt dedication in serving the youth of Gwinnett, the State of Georgia, the nation and beyond.
