Become a BEAM Peer Mentor!

The search is on for our first cohort of BEAM (Bears Engaging and Mentoring) Peer Mentors for Fall 2018. The School of Transitional Studies, in collaboration with the Office of Student Involvement, are in search of a group of enthusiastic and responsible students to help guide incoming first-generation students through their transition from high school to college. BEAM Peer Mentors play a key role in making the first year for Grizzly First Scholars a rewarding, fun and successful welcome to the Georgia Gwinnett College community. 

Selection as a BEAM Peer Mentor is both a unique honor and rewarding opportunity for personal leadership development and professional growth. Recognized by administration and faculty for their worthy assistance, energy, and motivation, this team of leaders will enjoy a memorable experience while providing a valuable service to the GGC community.

All applicants must:
• Have a cumulative GPA of 2.75 or higher by the end of the Spring 2018 semester
• Be an undergraduate at GGC through December 2018
• Have 30 or more credit hours completed
• Be in good standing at the college with regards to discipline history

The deadline to submit your application for the BEAM Peer Mentors Program for Fall 2018 is Friday, February 16, 2018 by 5:00 p.m.
