We often have questions about how to best support people who have experienced sexual violence. What do we say? What do we not say? How can we build trust and create a survivor-supportive community?
Presented by Georgia Tech Voice, this workshop will address common questions, challenges, and best practices for directly and indirectly supporting survivors of sexual violence. In particular, we will focus on the best ways to respond sensitively and effectively to the survivors we know. We will also address how we can be an allies to the survivors we don’t yet know by actively fostering a campus culture where sexual assault, sexual harassment, relationship violence, and stalking are not tolerated.
