The Charles H. Herty Medal is a beautiful solid gold medallion awarded annually by the Georgia Section of the American Chemical Society. The purpose of the award is to give public recognition to the work and service of outstanding chemists who have significantly contributed to their chosen fields. All chemists in academic, government, or industrial laboratories who have been residing in the southeastern United States for at least 10 years are eligible.
This year’s Herty Medal recipient, Professor Sandra J. Rosenthal will headline the Herty Medal Undergraduate Research Symposium to be held Friday, September 21, 2018 from 1-5pm in LVIS on the GGC campus.
It is free to attend and present at the symposium. Prizes will be awarded for the best poster presentation. Complete registration and abstract submission by 5 p.m. on Friday, September 14, 2018. Direct any questions to Dr. Ajay Mallia, firstname.lastname@example.org.
