      Atlanta Korean Cultural Center will present Korean traditional dance and music such as, Sogo (a double-headed frame-drum) dance, Nanta drum performance, and Gayageum. Sogo dance is associated with farmers' music and dance (nongak or p'ungmul), a genre of Korean folk music. The gayageum or kayagum is a traditional Korean zither-like string instrument, with 12 strings. It is probably the best known traditional Korean musical instrument. Nanta is beating Korean barrel drums with samulnori performance.

    • Wordstock IV Poetry Festival Time: 2:00pm - 4:00pm Locations: Heritage Room, Kaufman Library Details:

      The library’s annual poetry festival Wordstock will return on Tuesday April 3, in celebration of National Poetry Month. Reader sign-up is now open, and students are encouraged to present their original poetry. Students, faculty, and staff are encouraged to attend the event, to witness the creativity unleashed at GGC. Wordstock IV will be held in the Heritage Lecture Room from 2 to 4 p.m.
