  • Experience the joy and satisfaction of backpacking with Outdoor Adventures. You’ll fall in love with hiking, camping and nature as we backpack through parts of Georgia. All food and transportation will be provided.

    Cost to attend is $35 and pre-registration is required. Transportation leaves the WRC at 8 a.m. Learn how to register for Outdoor Adventures trips.

  • Grizzlyfest — A GGC Homecoming: 1-Mile Fun Run
  • Saturday October 20, 2018
  • Kick off a day of Grizzly fun with the first ever Grizzlyfest Fun Run. GGC students, alumni, faculty, and staff are invited to participate in the 1-mile fun run beginning in front of Building B on the GGC campus.  

    Check-in begins at 9 a.m. and the race begins at 10 a.m.

    GGC students: Sign up to run at the Wellness and Recreation Center front desk. The first 75 students to register will receive a free t-shirt!

    GGC alumni, faculty, and staff: Pre-registration has closed. On-site registration will be open the morning of the race beginning at 9 a.m., and a limited number of t-shirts will be available for purchase.

  • Gwinnett Great Days of Service is one of the largest community volunteer events in the nation. Since 2000, the community has gathered to create and support awareness for the Gwinnett Coalition for Health & Human Services and the many agencies and organizations the Coalition represents and supports. Join community volunteers as they come together to work side-by-side addressing specific needs and issues in the community.

    Participate in the GGC Microfarm project, or find another service project near you. 

  • Super Saturday Series Fall 2018

  • The Super Saturday Series is a fun, hands-on workshop series that exposes middle and high school girls to technology and science in a friendly college setting. The program utilizes interactive games and experiments to pique girls’ interest in technology and science. Registration is now open for the Fall 2018 Super Saturday Series.     • Big Glove Boxing
    • Corn hole tournament
    • Golf simulation stations
    • Caricature artists
    • Photo keychain station
    • Bracelet making, and more

    Support your favorite chef at the annual chili cook-off. Featured chefs include:

    • Dr. Stas Preczewski, GGC President - White Chicken Chili 
    • Dr. Laurel Holland, Interim Dean of the School of Liberal Arts - Vegan Chili with Sweet Potato
    • Dr. Justin Jernigan, Dean of the School of Transitional Studies -  Vietnamese Style Turkey Chili
    • Dr. Cathy Moore, Dean of the School of Education - Vegetarian Georgia Peach Chili
    • Dr. Tom Mundie, Dean of the School of Science and Technology - Classic Beef Chili 
    • Dr. Diane White, Dean of the School of Health Sciences - Spicy Turkey Chili
    • Dr. Tyler Yu, Dean of the School of Business - Southwestern Style Beef Chili

    Support Georgia Gwinnett College by purchasing tokens to vote for your favorite chili recipe. All funds raised will go to the GGC Fund which helps support student financial aid, scholarships, honor programming, service recognition, and campus events. Your gift is tax deductible.

    Close the afternoon with a slice of birthday cake in honor of General Grizzly's 10th birthday, and be the first to hear the new GGC fight song as it's revealed for the first time.
