Counseling and Psychological Services' professional staff is equipped to help you with personal or emotional issues in a safe, welcoming and confidential setting. Excel academically and personally with help from Disability Services. GGC students with documented disabilities can reach their full potential through utilizing the Office of Disability Services, which provides reasonable accommodations that ensure accessible educational and social environments for disabled students.
The Wellness Suite, which is funded by your health fees, is equipped to provide you with first-aid care, treatment for minor illnesses and injuries, referrals to local healthcare facilities and over-the-counter product distribution.
In addition, the Wellness Suite promotes your general development and physical wellness by providing information on medical self-care and monitoring body warning signs, instructions for appropriate use of the community medical system and nutrition education.
Get into the action with GGC intramural sports! As GGC student, you can participate in a variety of popular sports programs, including 3-on-3 basketball, indoor soccer, tennis, golf, dodge ball, racquetball, indoor flag football and sand volleyball. And the best part is that we offer free participation in the majority of sports programs offered.
Are you ready for some fun? Explore the surrounding area and your wild side with an outdoor adventure. Hike, sail, rock climb, canoe or simply test out your Battleship skills. And if you are looking for a little friendly competition, join in on one of the planned Wii or racquetball tournaments during the semester. Whether you are looking for outdoor excursions or you just want to get a little Rec Room time in, we want recreation to be a part of your college experience.
Forget community bathrooms and bunk beds; Residence Life at GGC will have you feeling like a V.I.P. As a student resident, you have access to suite-style living, featuring shared living spaces with private bedrooms, well-equipped kitchenettes and on-site laundry facilities that email you when your clothes are done. You choose from two, four, six, eight or 12 bedroom suites. Each suite is fully-furnished and equipped with everything you need to feel right at home, including a 46-inch flat-screen television in every living space.
Engage in community service, raise local community awareness and strengthen community involvement and citizen participation, while becoming an active citizen and leader by working with Service Learning, Active Citizenship and Community Engagement (SLACCE).
Once you enter our 80,000 square-foot Student Center, it’s easy to see that there’s just something about being a Grizzly. Meet with classmates in one of our student conference rooms. Grab a bite to eat in the Dining Hall. Play ping pong or billiards in the game room. Get GGC gear and class materials at the Bookstore. Or just let it all soak in as you relax in one of our comfortable Student Center lounging areas. Whatever you choose to do, the Student Center is the perfect place to let out your inner Grizzly.
Explore your passion and develop your leadership skills with the Office of Student Involvement. You will learn about planning and government, while volunteering and serving others.
Get involved by starting or joining a campus organization, become an elected member of the Student Government Association, plan official campus events or champion your favorite cause by organizing a fundraiser or service project.
Stay fabulously fit at our state-of-the-art Wellness and Recreation Center. At GGC, you have access to a wide variety of fitness and exercise activities, including the use of a cardio room, weight rooms, group fitness classes, adaptive fitness classes, an indoor rubberized track and more. With the right exercise plan at the GGC Wellness and Recreation Center, you can experience increased energy, strength and stamina, mental focus and improved weight management.
Come join GGC Intramural Sports as we host a Sand Volleyball Tournament on the evening of June 21st at 7:00pm!
Teams will consist of at least 4 players and a maximum of 8 players for each team. The tournament is open to both males and females but teams may not have more than 2 of each gender playing at any given time.
Registration for the tournament will open on IMLeagues.com/GGC on Monday, June 17th. Students wishing to play on the same should register and create a team beforehand. All other participants may either register on IMLeagues prior to the tournament or show up on the night of the tournament and where he/she will be assigned to a team.
Winners of the tournament will receive a GGC Intramural Champion t-shirt!

Join Student Involvement as we go to Six Flags Over Georgia to celebrate summer on June 22nd, 2013 from 10:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m.! Transportation will be included along with one ticket to the park and one meal (limit one ticket per GGC student taking summer classes; Guest will not be allowed on this trip.) Please note that you are unable to reserve spots on the Six Flags tickets for guests or other GGC student. Any GGC student taking summer classes will need to RSVP for their own space.
The first 45 students that RSVP will be able to attend the event. If you RSVP after we reach that number, you will be placed on a waiting list.
GGC students are invited to sign up and play in our Summer 3-on-3 Intramural Basketball League!
The season begins on June 3rd and runs through July 15th.Games will take place on Monday nights from 5-6pm and Tuesday nights from 5-8pm. The season will include at least 4 regular season games and a single elmination tournament. The winners will receiver a GGC Intramural Champion t-shirt!
Students can register as a free agent and create a team on IMLeagues.com/GGC. Students must have a valid GGC email account to register. Students may also fill out a free agent or team form which can be picked up and submitted at the Wellness & Recreation Center.
Students must also bring a valid Claw Card to every singe intramural game they wish to participate in.
