Biography

Mr. Theus "Wes" Rogers joined GGC in 2011 as a part-time instructor in biology. In 2013, he became a full-time instructor.

Rogers has an MS in biology from Florida International University where he specialized in plant biophysics. After graduation, Rogers worked as a wetland biologist and engineering technician in Savannah for five years. He also taught part-time at Armstrong Atlantic State University for five years. Rogers moved to Suwanee in 2005 to work for the City of Suwanee as their environmental planner. He eventually made his way to GGC after five years of local government work.

Rogers' research interests include plant biophysics, human evolution, student acceptance of evolution, and biosocial criminology (specifically the evolution of genes for violence)
