Biography

Dr. Jenna Andrews-Swann has been on the faculty at GGC since 2011. She teaches courses in anthropology and environmental science that focus on the interconnectedness of culture, people and place. Much of her recent research includes supervising GGC students working to understand topics like local perspectives on sustainability and food security. She has published in the fields of environmental anthropology, pedagogy and foodways. Andrews-Swann is also proud to serve on the faculty teams that administer the environmental science bachelor's degree and the anthropology minor at GGC.

Andrews-Swann lives in Athens, and when she's not working, she enjoys cooking, hiking, vegetable gardening, fly fishing and spoiling her two dogs.
