Biography

Dr. Kay Heath joined GGC’s faculty in the fall of 2010. Her teaching interests include Victorian literature, world literature, gender studies and postcolonial literature. Her research focuses on Victorian literature and culture as well as age studies. Her book, Aging By The Book: The Emergence of Midlife in Victorian Britain (SUNY Press) was published in 2009. Other work appears in Victorian Literature and Culture, Frances Trollope and the Novel of Social Change, Approaches to Teaching Coetzee’s Disgrace And Other Works, and The Routledge Research Companion to Anthony Trollope.

Heath served as assistant dean of the School of Liberal Arts from 2013 to 2018.
