Biography

Dr. Kristina Groce Brown is a Nationally Certified School Psychologist who joined the GGC faculty part-time in the fall of 2010 and full-time faculty in the spring of 2011. She earned her bachelor’s degree in psychology from Furman University in 2001 and her master’s in psychology from Wake Forest University in 2003. After working in a private psychology practice for a year, she enrolled in the doctoral program in school psychology at NC State University where she earned her Ph.D. in 2009. As part of her doctoral training, she completed a residency in professional psychology with the Virginia Beach City Public Schools in Virginia Beach, Va. during the 2008-2009 academic year.

Before joining the GGC faculty, Brown was the school psychologist for several rural school districts in southeastern Arkansas. Her research interests include the development of early academic skills in children and the multiple predictors of academic outcomes in college students.
