Biography

Kyle Petty is a filmmaker and photographer from New Hampshire. His recent films have explored people’s relationship to the natural and built environment through various documentary practices. His films have screened internationally at Visions du Réel (Switzerland), Barents Ecology Film Festival (Russia), Antimatter Media + Art (Canada) and San Diego Underground Film Festival, among others. He also served on the jury for the short film competition at the 18th Mediteran Film Festival in Široki Brijeg.

As an educator he has taught experimental video at CalArts, media production at public schools in San Diego and film production in Bosnia-Herzegovina. He also served as a peace corps response volunteer in Eswatini, formerly Swaziland.

Kyle enjoys rock climbing, hiking and gardening in his spare time.
