Marybeth Fazio-Norwood is a registered professional nurse with more than 30 years of clinical experience, 28 years of which have been spent at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in the Cardiothoracic Intensive Care Unit, where she serves as a preceptor and mentor to graduate and seasoned staff members while caring for critically ill babies and children, ages birth to 21 years. Her previous experiences were at Grady Memorial Hospital where she worked in the Surgical Intensive Care Unit, the Neurosurgery Intensive Care Unit and the Float pool. This is her first teaching experience in an academic setting. Her goals are to engage nursing students in life long learning that will support them in their transition from academia to professional nursing practice and to share her love of nursing.
