Biography

Dr. Seungjin Lee joined the GGC faculty in 2015 as an assistant professor of chemistry and biochemistry and was promoted to associate professor in 2021. His previous experiences cover practices in academic, public and industrial sectors. After earning a doctorate from the Georgia Institute of Technology, he continued his academic training as a postdoctoral fellow at the institution. He also served the public of the state of Georgia as an environmental engineer with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, specializing in air pollution prevention and hazardous waste corrective actions. He has more than five years of experience in industry as well, working as a research and project engineer at LG Engineering & Construction Corp., where he was engaged in various domestic and overseas projects in chemical and environmental arenas. He enjoys unicycling, tandem biking and camping, and loves learning new languages.
