Dr. Kazmi has a Ph.D. in chemistry from Kent State University, Kent, Ohio. He did post doctoral research at the University of Maryland (College Park) and University of Illinois (Urbana-Champagne). He has taught at Hunter College of City University of New York, Rutgers University (NJ), Georgia State University and at the University of Karachi (Pakistan) in the Departments of Chemistry and the International Center for Chemical and Biological Sciences ( At University of Karachi’s Department of Chemistry, he retired as professor and chairman. He taught graduate level courses in inorganic reaction mechanisms and bioinorganic chemistry, guided over a dozen Ph.D. theses and has contributed 72 research articles in peer-reviewed journals.
