Dr. Victoria E. Johnson Named Dean of Business
Lawrenceville, GA—For immediate release. Dr. Victoria E. Johnson has been named Dean of the School of Business at Georgia Gwinnett College. Johnson was formerly the Associate Dean for the Stetson School of Business & Economics at Mercer University in Atlanta, GA.
“Dr. Johnson’s extensive experience in academia and business will help us build a strong foundation in our business programs,” stated VP of Academic Affairs Stanley Preczewski, “She is fully capable of providing the academic and administrative leadership required to achieve the high standards of excellence within the College.”
As Dean, Johnson will be responsible for developing and assessing the initial structure, content, and accreditation of the undergraduate business programs, the hiring of faculty, and the operation of the School of Business. Johnson will also have the opportunity to play a major role in the formulation and implementation of programs essential to the innovative mission of the institution.
“I’m very excited to be a part of this new and creative addition to the world of higher education,” stated Johnson, “and I’m looking forward to utilizing my 25 years of experience in this innovative vision of business education for the 21st century.”
Johnson holds a Doctor of Public Administration degree from the University of Georgia and Master of Public Administration and Bachelor of Arts in English degrees from Georgia State University. She also currently serves on the Board of Directors for United Business Institutes and the Editorial Board for Global Business and Economics Review.
