Gwinnett Delegation Visits New College

Today, members of the Gwinnett Delegation met with President Daniel J. Kaufman and other senior administrators at Georgia’s newest four-year, public college to hear the plans for GGC’s first-ever freshman class expected on August 20. The College has just hired 85 new faculty, is preparing to build a new library, and has its eye set on the future growth of the campus, its programs and its ability to serve the citizens of Gwinnett County and beyond.

Today, members of the Gwinnett Delegation met with President Daniel J. Kaufman and other senior administrators at Georgia’s newest four-year, public college to hear the plans for GGC’s first-ever freshman class expected on August 20. The College has just hired 85 new faculty, is preparing to build a new library, and has its eye set on the future growth of the campus, its programs and its ability to serve the citizens of Gwinnett County and beyond.

“The presentation this morning from the senior managers of Georgia Gwinnett College tells me that GGC has a grasp on the future of education,” says Representative John Heard. “We are indeed fortunate to have this innovative and outstanding institution in our community."

The Delegation heard updates on the master plan, technology, hiring, and the partnerships the College is building.

“The future is just around the corner and we need to be ready to give our students the programs and facilities they deserve as the student body grows,” adds Kaufman. “Members of the Gwinnett Delegation have been tremendous advocates and we appreciate all their support.”

Georgia Gwinnett College is still accepting applications for the fall 2007 semester.
