Bartow Morgan Gives Major Gift to GGC Foundation

Chairman of the Georgia Gwinnett College Foundation Board of Trustees Glenn S. White announced the receipt of a major gift today. The unrestricted $100,000 gift was donated by Gwinnett banker and GGC Foundation Board of Trustee member Bartow Morgan on behalf of The Brand Banking Company.

“This is a wonderful gift for which we are deeply appreciative,” said White. “The gift is from a remarkable company in Gwinnett County that exemplifies what community stewardship and philanthropy is all about.”

GGC President Daniel J. Kaufman added, “Bartow Morgan has been a staunch supporter of Georgia Gwinnett College and of the power of education to transform lives. I am thankful for his generous support and friendship.”

“It is important that the Gwinnett community embrace and support GGC and its students,” said Morgan, CEO of The Brand Banking Company. “This County will continue to prosper as its workforce becomes more and more educated. This is an investment in our quality of life.”

GGC Foundation President Gordon Harrison noted that “at this early stage in the life of the Foundation, support such as this is critical to address the priorities of this growing four-year college.”
