Justice Melton speaks to students at Georgia Gwinnett College

Georgia Supreme Court Justice Harold Melton discussed the Georgia justice system and related careers with an audience of Georgia Gwinnett College students today.

Georgia Supreme Court Justice Harold Melton discussed the Georgia justice system and related careers with an audience of Georgia Gwinnett College students today.

Before he was appointed to the Georgia Supreme Court by Governor Sonny Perdue, Melton served as the governor’s executive counsel. He also spent 11 years in the Georgia Department of Law, where he addressed issues ranging from the creation of the Georgia Lottery Corporation to the administration of Georgia's tobacco settlement.

Melton received a bachelor of science degree from Auburn University and his juris doctorate from the University of Georgia.
