Grizzly Athletics Announces Live Weekly Streaming Show On-Location

Grizzlies Live at Newk's 

The Georgia Gwinnett Grizzlies and the Grizzly Digital Network are pleased to announce that the popular coaches’ shows will now be shot and streamed live off-campus for the very first time, part of the brand new Grizzlies LIVE at Newk’s Eatery, at the Newk’s Lawrenceville location at the intersection of Duluth Highway and Lawrenceville-Suwanee Road.
Grizzlies LIVE will begin next Wednesday, Jan. 15 at 11 a.m., and will take place at the same time each week during the spring season. Grizzly fans are encouraged to attend the show, which will be open to the community. Fans can submit their questions, interact with Grizzly staff and have a chance to win Grizzly Giveaways provided by Athletics.
Voice of the Grizzlies Matt Mahony will serve as show host, welcoming GGC coaches, players and other personnel as guests each week. Questions also can be submitted on social media to be read on air.
Each show will last approximately 30 minutes and will be accessible for free via the Grizzly Digital Network on Show formats and dates will be updated in the summer and fall.
“We are thrilled to be engaging the community in a completely new way,” said Dr. Darin S. Wilson, GGC’s Director of Athletics. “This promises to be an exciting season on the fields and courts, and we look forward to interacting with our fans through one of our valued community sponsors.”
All members of the GGC community with a valid Claw Card are currently offered a discount at Newk’s Lawrenceville.
The Grizzly baseball season begins at home Jan. 31, while the softball and men’s and women’s tennis teams begin their seasons the first week of February. The 2014 spring game broadcast schedule featuring over 50 live, free Georgia Gwinnett baseball, softball and tennis events, will be released next week.
The Grizzly Digital Network also takes you inside Grizzly Athletics with original content like player features, season highlights and reports from the road.
