Georgia Gwinnett College (GGC) has been ranked #10 Top Public School in the Regional Colleges South category for 2019 by U.S. News & World Report (USN&WR) magazine. This is the third consecutive year GGC has been listed in the top 10.

GGC was evaluated on a number of quantitative and qualitative academic quality measures including outcomes, graduation rates and expert opinion.

“Most significantly, among public regional colleges in the south, GGC received a peer assessment score by college presidents and provosts exceeded by only two other public colleges,” said President Staś Preczewski. “This is an assessment of the academic rigor and reputation of the institution as judged by senior administrators at other institutions and is also reflective of the quality of our graduates.”

In addition, for the fifth consecutive year, USN&WR ranked Georgia Gwinnett as the most ethnically diverse Southern regional college.
The 2019 rankings released earlier cited the importance of Georgia Gwinnett’s diverse student population as a characteristic sought after by students who want to study with individuals of varying ethnic and racial backgrounds. This coupled with high academic standards and affordable tuition make it a college of choice for the region it serves.

USN&WR defines the Southern region as including the states of Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia and West Virginia.
