Camille Chang Gilmore, Boston Scientific's vice president of Human Resources and global chief diversity officer, was recently named one of Savoy Magazine's "2016 Top Influential Women in Corporate America." Gilmore has served on the GGC School of Business Board of Visitors since 2013 and was a pilot member of the school's Corporate Affiliates Program in 2016.

Dr. Rhiannon Evangelista, assistant professor of history, recently received the 2015 Christopher Seton Watson prize, awarded annually to the best article published in Modern Italy, the journal of the Association for the Study of Modern Italy. Her article, “The particular kindness of friends: ex-Fascists, clientage and the transition to democracy in Italy, 1945–1960,” was published in the journal’s November 2015 printed edition and posted online in May 2016.

The Office of Wellness Programming’s Peer Health Educators Team won Outstanding Program of the Year for its interactive HIV prevention presentation, "HIV High/Low/No Risk," at the 2016 BACCHUS Initiatives of NASPA General Assembly, held Nov. 17-20 in Kansas City, Mo. The Grizzlies also presented a program titled, "What's Your Intimacy Time Line?" The team included student Peer Educators Guilouse Grandoit, ’17, business, Teresa Fowler, ’17, exercise science, and TeRae Caldwell, ’18, biology, as well as Assistant Director of Wellness Programming Katie Buell. This conference is the premier educational and networking opportunity for Peer Health Educators. This national conference allows students to inspire, share ideas and build exceptional peer educational programs and strategies in health, safety and student leadership.
