Dr. Benjamin Brown, associate professor of psychology, has been appointed to the Steering Committee of PsyArXiv, a newly released online repository of psychological sciences preprints.
PsyArXiv is a place for researchers to share manuscripts under review, working papers in need of informal peer review, hard-to-publish manuscripts and author versions of published articles.
Brown believes preprint services like PsyArXiv have the potential to revolutionize science, helping to increase openness and transparency.
Sloan Jones, associate vice president of Strategic Communications and Positioning, participated in the Crisis Leadership in Higher Education executive education program at Harvard University’s Kennedy School of Executive Education in Boston, Massachusetts, from February 27 - March 2, 2017.
The program focused on how organizations respond to crises effectively, how to develop protocols and practices that minimized the potential for future occurrences, and how to inspire confidence in the long-term safety, security and success of the institution. Through case studies of real-world events, the program explored the strategic and operational issues that arise when preparing for, responding to and recovering from a crisis.
