GGC biology professors serve as keynote speakers, discussed genetics studies

GGC faculty members Maria Fernandez, instructor of biology, Dr. Mia Malloy, assistant professor of biology, and Dr. Jill Penn, assistant professor of biology and biochemistry, served as keynote speakers during the Georgia Ornithological Society's May meeting in Helen, Georgia.
The trio spoke about avian studies, the study of birds, at Georgia Gwinnett College including Brown-headed nuthatch conservation, avian diversity, genetics studies and highlights from student research projects.
