Dr. Binh Tran, assistant professor of information technology, was primary author on the paper, “Challenges in IT Education relating to Generation Z students," published in the recent Vol. 8, No. 19 issue of the Journal of Education and Practice. The paper examines generational differences between the Baby Boomer, Generation Y, Millennial and Generation Z cohorts and explores faculty-student relationships between the former and latter generations. Teaching and learning preferences are examined and recommendations are presented for how information technology undergraduate education may most effectively connect with the Generation Z cohort.
